My favourite finds this week..

So I had one of those weeks where you go shopping and find loads of things you like, I mean there will weeks where I just don’t see anything I like, but not this week NO I could have bought an entire wardrobe full of new clothes, shoes, handbags the list goes on..

I’ll start off with trainers shall I, I bought some pretty wild Kurt Geiger trainers last week it was a bit of spur of the moment buy and when I got home I was already in two minds about them. I tried them on with different outfits and decided that they just weren’t me. I took them back and popped into Office to have a look at what new trainers were in, and noticed they had leather Converse in different colours, now I love a pair of Converse and own three scruffy pairs, I tried them on and they came straight home with me, I loved them and because they are leather they look really good and I should be able to keep them cleaner too. IMG_4830

My next buy which was a bargain and looks really cool is this rose gold cross body from  http://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0462159003.html#Rose gold its a fab little bag and looks great with jeans, white tee and white pumps for a casual look with a pop of fabulousness. (pic below)

IMG_4833

I also popped into primark and they have some great little tops in at the minute and they are such a good price at £4! My favourite one is this cami which has pink flamingos all over it, I mean its the perfect holiday top to wear with white shorts and flat sandles, or on an evening with black trousers and high sandals. (pic below)  https://www.primark.com/en/homepage

IMG_4827

IMG_4834

Another buy from HM was this white and blue flower print tunic top in a lovely soft material that hangs really nice on the body, I think this is perfect for replacing the tee with jeans look for a more pretty and feminine look, teamed with some converse of course. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Last but not least is this gorgeous tropical print handbag from River Island, I did feature this on my wish list last week and I had to go back and get it, its just too pretty. It has jewels on the front and a lovely gold chain strap, but the tropical print canvas is what I love, I can just see this on holiday with an LBD and strappy sandals and its only £20! (pic below)  http://www.riverisland.com/

IMG_4797.JPG

I have had a couple of you ask about the bracelets I’m wearing in the above photo, they are also from river island I’ve linked one below but the other one is not online however it was available in store

Intelligent Tights

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I have always loved tights, they are the best thing to put on for comfort and I never buy cheap tights. Quality and fit is very important to me and they need to last. When I was younger I always used to buy cheap tights and I would go through pair after pair. Then I bought a pair of good branded tights and the fit and quality was excellent and they lasted me for a long time. So I’m always interested in new brands that offer quality and comfort and when I was introduced to Heist Studio tights I knew I had come across a good pair of tights.

Heist tights feature four signature design features:

  1. A waistband that moves when you move
  2. The softest, stretchy, sleekest yarn
  3. Seamless design and no gusset
  4. Redesigned from top to toe SEAM

They also offer two different size waistbands, a low waist band and a high waist band.

They come in a 80, 50, or 30 denier and also a Nude 18 denier invisible tight which look amazing.

I’ve included a few pictures of my own (below) wearing the 30 and 50 denier.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

IMG_4555

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The above photos are the 30 denier which aren’t too thick and look great for a night out with heels. They feel super soft and really comfortable, and I love the no toe seam.

IMG_4575

IMG_4578

The above two photos are the 50 denier high waist, and I must admit these are my favourites because the waistband comes up really high and holds everything in and I love that, that is a selling point for me straight away.

Take a look at  https://heist-studios.com/ for your perfect tights and type in ‘HEISTINSTA’ and you will receive 15% off any order of 2 pairs or more.

Happy International Women’s Day to you all

My favourites this week..

I thought I would share with you what I have recently purchased and what has caught my eye this week. I will also include some great affordable pieces and accessories that wont brake the bank. I recently placed an order through Mango and I was so excited to find a leather jacket that actually looks good on me, I have found it very difficult to find one that doesn’t make me look like I’m trying to be twenty. The Mango one is a lovely soft leather and isn’t cropped its a standard length so I didn’t feel to conscious about my middle. It has zip details on the sleeves and pockets and comes in at a reasonable price of £119.99 for real soft leather.

img_3964

I will be wearing this all the time with jeans, classic white t-shirt and boots or trainers when it finally starts to warm up! I wore it with my embroidered Primark dress, tights and boots on my last blog post if you fancy a look. This is the link to the jacket  http://shop.mango.com/GB/p0/woman/clothing/jackets/biker-jackets/leather-biker-jacket?id=83080046_70&n=1&s=destacados_she.leather_collection_she

img_4369

My favourite buy has got to be this tropical print dress from http://shop.mango.com/GB/woman   at only £15.99 its the perfect ‘throw on’ holiday dress for me, I always look for the easiest things to wear on holiday as you don’t want to spend to much time faffing around with skirts and tops or trousers etc. This dress you can actually step into and just pull up, stick some gold accessories on and you have a great little number. This dress also comes in different prints.

gold-belt-3-99

I also bought this gold belt, it is the one I have on with the dress above and it was only £3.99 from  http://www2.hm.com/en_gb/index.html it also looks great with blue jeans as its a nice bright gold.

jeans-24-99

So I have a love/hate relationship with jeans as I find that I can try on 20 pairs and walk away with nothing, the style, fit and material are all important to me and it can take just one little thing to put me off (if my arse looks huge then that is usually the main factor) however I did find these little gems in  http://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0468130004.html#Denim they are £24.99, they fit really well and give you a nice ‘bum’ shape if that makes sense, the waist is high, not too high and they aren’t too stretchy but enough to hug your figure. These are a good pair of jeans and a great price too. I will enjoy wearing these with a slouchy jumper and loafers.

white-aztec-print-bardot-neck-dress

Another summer dress that caught my eye was this Aztec print dress from  http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/swimwear/white-aztec-print-bardot-neck-dress_516275219 this will look great with flat pom pom sandals and a straw bag for the beach and is only £14.99.

pink-glitter-eyelash-iphone-6-case

This quirky phone case is £5.99 from  http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/view-all-accessories/phone-and-tablet-accessories/_/N-9xhZqtb I love phone cases and if I could change it every day to something different I would, its part of your accessories and outfit.

699924_rollover

I really want to see this in the shop as I would like to feel the quality look at the print a bit closer but I do love it and I think it looks great with pale denim like in the photo, also it would look great with an LBD for a pop of colour. This is only £20 so not breaking the bank, I will definitely let you know what its like if I see it in store. The link is below  http://www.riverisland.com/women/bags–purses/cross-body-bags/white-tropical-envelope-cross-body-chain-bag-699924

698638_rollover

Last but not least these are on my list of things to try on, they are a pom pom espadrille from  http://www.riverisland.com/women/shoes–boots/sandals/black-floral-pom-pom-espadrilles-698638 and are £38 these would look great on holiday with a little black dress and a bright coloured cross body for a night time outfit.

Wishing you a lovely evening

The embroidered dress

img_3965

So Primark have done it again, an LBD that’s covered in pretty embroidered flowers. This dress is only £13 and can be worn so many ways and great for spring, summer and autumn styling. Its a lovely cotton with a gathered drop waist and full skirt that’s just so pretty. The colours in the dress are a lovely pinky red, blue and green and it has long fitted sleeves.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

img_3968

I’ve styled it here with my Mango leather jacket, tights and heeled ankle boots, which gives you that pretty rock chic look,  you could also add a scarf for colder days or pop a jumper over the top for extra warmth and you still get the pretty skirt.

img_3966

img_3964

Below is a picture of the full dress, the sleeves are full length but I have pushed them up here as I like a 3/4 sleeve, just my preference. The dress is shorter at the front and longer at the sides and back but it hangs nice with it being gathered so doesn’t show too much leg, however if you are tall then you may only want to wear it on holiday with flats. Its a great dress for holidays as its very lightweight and would look great with some black espadrilles.

I’m going to Paris in April and I know I will definitely be taking it with me, as I think it will be great for during the day with trainers for a more casual look.

I may be wearing this a lot..

The £8 T-Shirt for day to night

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I popped into Primark yesterday with my daughter as she loves to spend her pocket money in there, she just gets so many little things to play around with. I think she spent £10 and came away with a choker, a pack of 5 rings, a sports top, a makeup box with drawers and a t-shirt! Its just so good for little girls.

Obviously mummy had a little look too and I found this t-shirt with a net hem for £8. Its a nice stretchy cotton and there are 2 layers of net, I could see this straight away with heels and a leather jacket for a night out.

I have styled it 3 different ways and I love them all, its such a good day to night top.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Here I’ve styled it with my favourite white converse, Zara jeans and an H&M jacket. Perfect for school runs and food shopping, which I seem to do all the time!

img_3803

The next look I’ve styled it with my strappy pumps, Rag and Bone jeans and a quirky little handbag from Next, this look is perfect for Saturday shopping and lunch out with friends.

img_3801

img_3802

The next look below is one of my favourites as the t-shirt just sets off the outfit, the way it hangs below the fitted jacket is so feminine. I’ve paired it with Zara smart trousers, H&M fitted jacket, Christian Louboutin Pigalle’s and my gorgeous Lisa Bea clutch. This is perfect for a night out for cocktails and dinner.

The bonus is its only £8 and you can wear it so many different ways, and the hubby loves it too!

My Top Ten Zara Dresses

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

If you are looking for a dress for spring, summer holidays or an occasion, Zara is your go to. With a great choice of florals, embroidery and frills there is something for everyone. Now that the weather is turning and we can shed a few layers we can start wearing some of these pretty dresses. Some of these dresses will also look great with tights and boots until its a little warmer.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This one I’m wearing is the Polka dot frill sleeve dress which is a lovely material, its heavier than you would expect which makes it hang nice on the body. It sits just above the knee, I’m wearing it with tights and ankle boots but paired with a nice leather jacket and white trainers I think it would be very cool. This would also make a great christening dress paired with strappy black sandals and a clutch.

Trench? Parka? or Mac?

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Its the jacket for taking you into spring. Trench coats are the stylish way to keep you warm, its the one piece of clothing that has always been classy and provides a refined look. Beige, black, khaki, fitted or oversized it will always remain a wardrobe staple. The Mac is timeless and chic, a true wardrobe hero. Choose a bright colour for fun or look for quirky details and zips. The Parka is never out of fashion and always in style, its your cool weather essential.

Whatever you choose invest in a good one that will last. I have had a look around and attached some of my favourites. The khaki one I’m wearing (above) is just new in from Next and I loved it as soon as I put on, the detail on the sleeves was what caught my eye. The sleeves are shorter than normal stopping half way up your arm which is great for all the flared sleeve tops around as you can show them off in this jacket. There is also a little bow and gathered detail and its a good quality silky material, it looks an expensive jacket (see below)

The Poncho

The Poncho or cape as some people call them, are such a great item of clothing for that in-between winter and spring weather. Its great to throw on over a shirt if its not too cold or a jumper for that extra warmth if you don’t want to wear a coat. It can be dressed up or down just by coordinating different accessories. Style with a shirt, jeans and boots (like above) for a smart casual look or black denim and pumps for a classic style.

I’ve included a few photos of this pink pearl detail poncho that also looks great with blue jeans and white trainers (see below photos) which is perfect for the school run or shopping, and of course its pink which is the best colour to be seen in right now!

If you like this one I’m wearing its from Mandy’s Heaven its super soft and feels great quality, down one side is a row of pearls that you can undo and wear as a scarf (bonus) it sits perfectly over my white shirt its a great wardrobe piece. You can purchase this poncho or anything else from their website which I’ve linked below and if you use my code LOVESTYLE1901 you will receive a 20% discount on your first purchase!

The flower detail shirt

I love all the different detailed shirts and blouses in the shops just now, gone are the days of a plain shirt and jeans, with florals and embroidery taking over your wardrobe. Its one of the easiest things to throw on for the school run without making too much of an effort. I bought this black shirt with floral embroidery detail on the back from New Look and I love it, it also comes in dusky pink and khaki green.

Hopefully the weather will be getting a little milder and we can maybe take off a layer and embrace the shirt. I would actually wear this one with a pink or black t-shirt underneath and left open for a more casual look. I have my eye on a lovely gingham floral shirt from Zara too, it would look great with white jeans and trainers.

Check out my favourites below and embrace the flower!

My Top 10 Loafer picks

I have just picked up a lovely pair of loafers (see above picture) in Office Shoes and they could be mistaken for a very fancy Gucci pair.

This loafer style shoe was traditionally worn only by men as casual and business footwear. In recent years the style has been revamped and worn by women. They can be dressed up or down and will give a masculine edge to your wardrobe. With a pair of smart tailored trousers and blouse you will look catwalk ready. You can turn the preppy style on its head by pairing it with ripped skinny jeans and a leather jacket for an edgier look. With a pencil skirt or classic coat, look for loafer styles with an edge, like tassels or embellishment. There are hundreds of amazing designs which feature tassels, chains, embroidery and different animal prints. There are also some beautiful backless loafers too, and don’t get me wrong I love them on other people but I just cant get away with these and I have tried them on numerous times with different outfits (lots of hours spent humming and harring)  I have also found myself buying more flat shoes/boots as I find the styles are so quirky and stylish that you don’t need to walk around in heels all day to look good.

So I’m going to show you my top 10 below (backless included) that I think will take you through to spring and all under £69…Happy Shopping 😉
