The pocket dress

If your looking for a dress that's easy to throw on, looks good, and can take you from day to night in the summer, then this is a winner.

It's 50% cotton/50% linen, and has gorgeous sparkly pockets, YES it has pockets!

It also comes in a lovely Coral colour too, which would look fabulous with a tan on holiday.

The dress is £32.99 and it's one size.

I'll definitely be wearing this with my converse or sliders for a casual everyday look. If your going on holiday then this is a great dress to wear for a beach lunch or cocktails at the bar with some sparkly flats.

You can buy this dress via the link below, http://www.liviasboutique.bigcartel.com/product/baby-pink-or-coral-sequin-pocket-dress

Holiday look book (part 1)

I loved all your comments on my holiday outfits so much that I thought I’d do a little look book for you.

There was a good mix of high street and designer bits going on. I’ll start with the photo above which was my Primark Monokini (still in store) in a tropical print paired with an HM chiffon throw on (old) The beach bag is one of my favourite buys this summer, it’s a great size and is just gorgeous! Link to bag http://m.asos.com/america-beyond/america-beyond-festival-colourful-tassel-jute-bag/prd/7686943?clr=natural&SearchQuery=Tassel%20bag&pgesize=49&pge=0&totalstyles=49&gridsize=2&gridrow=23&gridcolumn=2

Outfit number one I wore was my beautiful botanical print maxi skirt from Hush Homewear. Linked here https://www.hush-uk.com/m/womenswear/daywear/skirts/maxi_printed_skirt_botanical_print.htm

I paired it with a black off the shoulder top from HM which is new in and available here http://m2.hm.com/m/en_gb/productpage.0554784004.html#Black

One of many white dresses I own! It’s just the best thing to wear on holiday. This one was a great buy from Next, it’s a lightweight cotton tiered dress that also comes in black http://www.next.co.uk/g21108s6#426642 The gold sparkly sandals were from Debenhams in the sale, which I can’t find anywhere online so I’ve linked you to the Gold sandals section http://m.debenhams.com/search/gold+flat+sandals?via=suggest

This was one of my favourite looks as I just love the print on this dress from HM and it’s only £17.99 http://m2.hm.com/m/en_gb/productpage.0518529002.html#White

I paired this with my New Look metallic heels http://m.newlook.com/shop/shoe-gallery/view-all-shoes/gold-ankle-strap-heeled-sandals_393287293?isRecent=true and my cream Gucci bag.

I had loads of messages about this beach skirt, it was a great price from ASOS £26 and looked way more expensive than what it was! I felt amazing in it too. http://m.asos.com/asos/asos-beach-leopard-print-sarong-in-pleat/prd/7962580?clr=leopardprint&SearchQuery=&cid=2238&pgesize=350&pge=6&totalstyles=452&gridsize=2&gridrow=173&gridcolumn=2 I wore this with my halterneck swimsuit from last year.

This was also another popular outfit, I bought this dress in Cannes from Benetton. It was in the sale with 30% off. It’s a cute little dress with a cut out back, but not enough to not be able to wear a bra. (Which is great) https://gb.benetton.com/shop/gb_en/women/dresses/forema-me-anoigma-sto-piso-meros.html Teamed with the Gucci again, but this time I’m wearing my black wedges from Deichmann https://m.deichmann.com/GB/en/shop/home-ladies/home-ladies-shoes/home-ladies-shoes-wedges/00009001276430/Wedge*Sandals.prod?s=2&fromCategoryDetail=true

My earrings are from HM who have loads of great jewelry in at the moment. http://m2.hm.com/m/en_gb/hm-com.genericdevice.html

I wanted to look chic but keep cool when I went into Cannes, so the first thing that I thought of was this lightweight drop waist dress from Moobou. It comes in three colours and I picked the pale pink as I didn’t have any other pink dresses. It’s available here https://moo-boutique.co.uk/collections/dresses/products/long-sleeved-drop-waist-dress

I wore my grey Holster sparkly flats which looked great with it. http://www.holsteraustralia.co.uk/

So that’s Part 1 of my holiday lookbook, hope you like it, and keep a look out tomorrow for part 2!

Have a lovely Sunday, Joanna x

Miramar beach hotel & spa

I have been to the South of France many times as it’s one of my favourite holiday destinations (mainly because of my love for wine and croissants) This time was just a little bit more special as the Hotel was superb!

We stayed at the Miramar Beach Hotel & Spa in Theoule-sur-mer, which is about 25 Minutes from Cannes. A short drive will take you to a village where there is a sandy beach, a few beach bars, restaurants and local shops.

It has its own private beach with padded beds, waiter service and water sports are also available.

The restaurant Moya (below) has lovely views of the private beach, with a great menu. This is also where we had breakfast every morning. We were amazed by the choice of food at breakfast, I don’t think there was anything they didn’t have! The chef was lovely, he was so easy going and willing to cook or make you anything on request.

The restaurant ‘Bistrot M’ (below) is an exquisite mix of southern French cuisine blended with offerings of Spanish tapas and Oriental-style mezzé.

The hotel has a Spa which is by appointment. The spa offers tailor-made treatments. Guests can choose to combine massages, finger pressure techniques and body modelling for a complete restorative and beauty package. 4 treatment rooms 1 double. There is a sauna, steam room and a relaxation room. The Spa uses the Sothys brand products.

The heated pool overlooks the sea and has plenty of beds, there are also double day beds available which are very nice. The Aperol spritz went down a treat with that amazing view.

The rooms and suites are luxuriously decorated with velvet and dark wood, and have beautiful garden or sea views. I loved waking up to the sound of the sea. The bed was super comfy, and the bathroom had a large double walk in shower with the rain shower head. Lots of nice smellys too.

The service was impeccable I could not fault it, they went out of their way to make you feel special. Always smiling and willing to help with anything. It is a child and family friendly hotel.

I would definitely stay here again, and maybe next time I’ll try the spa, if I can drag myself away from the beautiful sea.

Have a lovely evening, Joanna x

Holiday Nails

It’s that time of year when the pampering starts for the summer holidays. I love preparing my body, it’s like a ritual for me. The waxing, tanning, plucking, exfoliating and especially the nail painting.

I love a good pedicure (which I do myself) and I love painting my own nails.

I leave for France on Thursday and my choice of colour is going to be Cajun Shrimp by OPI which I’ve linked below.

I’ve chosen 10 shades which are my favourite holiday colours below.

All nail polishes are £12.50 by OPI and linked here https://www.opiuk.com/
