Wagamama Vegan night with Intu Metrocentre

I was over the moon to be invited along to Wagamama with Intu Metrocentre to try some dishes from their Vegan menu as they celebrate Veganuary.

Re-creating some of their popular dishes to accommodate the vegan diet. I’m not Vegan or Vegetarian, but I have ordered a few things off their Vegetarian menu before and the Vegan dishes we were served on the evening tasted amazing. I’ll definitely be ordering off this menu again.

We started off with these refreshing drinks called Nix and Kix. Two different flavours, one Mango ginger and the other cucumber mint. They were both really refreshing and tasty, but my favourite was the mango with a little kick of Cayenne pepper.

First up was some steamed edamame beans served with chilli garlic salt. They were by far my favourite. They are so moreish and full of flavour with that kick of chilli for some heat.

These noodles were delicious. They are called the Yasai Yaki soba with udon noodles. The egg has been removed and the soba noodles replaced with udon noodles to make the dish suitable for a vegan diet. I would definitely order this dish again. so tasty!

The Yasai steamed gyoza dumplings are served grilled with a dip. These were quite soft in texture but crispy on the outside and the dip tastes great.

The wok fried greens, I’ve had before as a side dish. Really tasty and so good for you. It’s a mix of stender stem broccoli and Bok Choi, stir fried in a garlic and soy sauce.

The fresh juice choice is amazing. I went for the Super Green. What’s great about this juice? Well, Wagamama support the charity Mind, for better mental health. If you go for the Super green or Power juice, Wagamama will donate 25p to fund Minds Infoline. They are aiming to help answer an extra 8000 Infoline calls this year.

This was really tasty and not too filling. They are two small fluffy Asian buns served with coriander. The mayonnaise has been removed to make it suitable for Vegans. Mixed mushrooms and panko aubergine together is wonderful.

The Ramen did not disappoint. A lovely aroma of coriander and curry. Kare Burosu ramen is jam packed with flavour. Mushrooms, curried broth, udon noodles, silken tofu, chilli and coriander. Absolutely delicious.

We were then served the Yasai Salma curry. A fragrant, spicy lemongrass and coconut curry with tofu. Served with rice. My favourite main course of the night, I just love a spicy curry!

Last but not least, the Vegatsu curry. Seitan coated in crispy panko breadcrumbs, covered in an aromatic curry sauce (which is divine) with sticky rice and salad. Definitely worth a try.

For desert, we were given two sorbets to try. The lemongrass and lime sorbet was really refreshing and tangy. The pink guava and passion fruit sorbet was my favourite. It was really creamy in texture and the flavour was insane.

The staff were brilliant and so helpful with questions about the food. If you love Wagamama like I do, then ask for the Vegan and vegetarian menu to have a look at. You don’t have to be Vegan to enjoy Vegan food. Click here for Vegan menu

My favourites from River Island this week

I popped into RIVERISLAND the other day and tried a few things on, including this gorgeous pink blouse. The colour is fabulous and made me feel happy as soon as I put it on. That’s the reason I bought it, because it made me feel good.

It looks great with jeans and over leather look leggings too. I sized up as I preferred it a bit loose.

I’ve linked up below some other pieces that caught my eye, including some lovely accessories too.

The camel coat

Happy New Year!

I thought I’d start 2019 off with a wardrobe staple.

I’ve had this camel coat for a couple of years now and i love it. However, I’m always on the look out for a new shape/style. They are such a good piece to have in your wardrobe as they literally go with everything.

My favourite way to wear a camel coat is with all black. It’s such a classic, smart look that doesn’t take a lot of effort, but looks fab. They also look great with a plain white shirt, blue jeans and trainers. Comfy, casual and smart.

I’ve seen a couple recently that I love, I just need to make a decision. Maybe you can tell me your favourites out of the ones I’ve linked below?
